What are your pets' names?
Jenny, Compo, Dexter and Harper.

Harper |
We also regularly see/look after my brother and sister-in-law's dogs, Minnie and Hector... I'll keep this post to our four though, otherwise we'd be here for hours! |
What kind of pets are they? And what breed?
Obviously, they're all dogs... but Jenny is a border collie, Compo is a Staffordshire bull terrier and collie cross, and Harper and Dexter are lurchers.
How long have you had your pets?
We've had all four dogs since they were puppies, so their age is pretty much the same as how long we've had them... So, Jenny is around 14/15, Compo is 10, and the pups were only born on May 1st, so we've had them since mid-June.
How did you get your pets?
Jenny was from a farm, and Compo we rescued from the RSPCA. Harper and Dexter are from my uncle's dog's litter - there were eight puppies in total, and we were originally only supposed to have Harper, but my mum went to pick her up and couldn't resist little (or enormous) Dexter!
What are some quirky things about your pets personalities?
Jenny - a.k.a. The Princess. She's such a kind and loving dog, and as the old lady of the group, the other dogs respect her (especially Minnie and Harper, who adore her)
Compo - He pretty much thinks he's a human. He's also the neediest dog I've ever known, but he just lives to please others so he's very well behaved... when he wants to be.
Dexter - My great big baby, and he can't resist a cuddle or a neck scratch! He hasn't quite got the hang of his long legs yet, so he's a bit clumsy, too!
Harper - She's been described as the most aesthetically pleasing dog in the world, which might just be true because she is so beautiful. She loves to just sit down and give you her paw, and then roll on to her back for a tummy tickle! Too cute.
What does your relationship with your pets mean to you?
In case it wasn't obvious, I love my dogs. I can't imagine life without a dog, and I think it's such a great life experience to have one - my sister and I were scared of dogs when we were little, but since getting Jenny all those years ago, I can't get enough of them (and my sister...tolerates them).

What are some of your favourite past times with your pets?
This is a bit of an odd question, but I love taking them down to the field and watching them all run about together - it's just so lovely! And then afterwards, when they're all snuggly and sleepy, is just the cutest thing.
What nicknames do you call your pet?
Oh, where do I even begin? Jenny is usually Wolfie or Wolf, and Compo has always been Poo but we pretty much call him anything that sounds even remotely like his name (Shrimpo, Flompo, Shrimpy, Wompo, Tonto). Dexter often goes by Dex or Dexy (I also like to call him Tigersaurus Dex), and Harper is either Harpy and Parpy.

I hope you've enjoyed reading my answers and finding out some more about my beloved dogs! If you have any questions about them, or about having/taking care of dogs in general, then I'll definitely offer as much information as I can. As per usual, I tag everyone, and if you do answer these questions or have done something similar on your blog, leave me a link and I'd love to check it out!
Here are some more of my favourite pictures of my dogs - they're a bunch of posers! I'm always posting photographs of them on Instagram (@tillbill), so be sure to follow me on there to keep updated!
These are from my very first meeting with Harper (before we knew we'd get Dexter, too) |
